Fees and Referrals

Fees

Fees for a 50 minute individual session can be accessed by phoning the clinic.

I do take a certain percentage of bulk billing or reduced fee clients where there are extenuating circumstances. Unfortunately once that limit is reached I don’t have financial capacity to take on any more. Please feel free to discuss this with me ahead of your first session.

Please see the Group Therapy or Online Workshop pages for their relevant fee information.

Rebates

No referral is needed to attend therapy.

However, a referral from your GP or a psychiatrist under a Mental Health Care Plan gives access to rebates from Medicare of $96.65 for up to 10 sessions a year.

For those with chronic conditions (such as chronic pain) your GP may deem you eligible for a Team Care Arrangement or Chronic Disease Management Plan which allows you up to 5 rebates across your health professionals at a rebate of $60.35.

Private health insurance may also provide rebates (although not in combination with the above Medicare rebates) depending on your level of cover. Please check with your insurer regarding coverage if this is a rebate you hope to access.

Booking

When booking your first session we require you to book in 3 x fortnightly appointments. This ensures that if you need regular appointments, or if there is a degree of risk which means you need to see me more frequently, I am able to see you. Often I book up ahead and this holds space for you. If, in the first session, we find that fortnightly sessions are not necessary or convenient for you we can always cancel them and book in more convenient times.

Cancellation Policy

Please note we require 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your session, or a cancellation fee of 50% of the fee will be charged. This provides us with enough time to allocate the session to another client.

If you do not arrive for your session, this will incur the full session fee.

We can alternatively conduct the session via Telehealth if you are too unwell to attend in person.
